  • Big Brother Instinct: Although he knows his sister Bamia can take care of herself, Luffy is still fiercely protective of her as her older brother.
  • Rubber Man: As per canon, he ate the Gum-Gum Fruit, which makes his entire body like rubber and allows him to stretch in impossible ways.
  • Sibling Yin-Yang: With his sister Bamia. Luffy, as everyone knows, is goofy, excitable, and loud compared to his sister's quiet, near-emotionless, and tactful disposition.
  • Signature Laugh: "Shishishi!"

  • Alchemy Is Magic: The Alchemy-Alchemy Fruit allows him to manipulate any non-living matter he touches and change it how he sees fit.
  • Beyond the Impossible: He somehow managed to eat THREE Devil Fruits without dying. He theorizes that the souls of his siblings are the ones holding the powers for him.
  • Dark and Troubled Past: He was born the only survivor out of a set of triplets and his parents believed him to be a demon who ate the souls of his siblings. He was cast out to sea to die but was rescued by Whitebeard and his crew and became Happily Adopted.
  • Experienced Protagonist: He was born in the New World and was a member of the Whitebeard Pirates, so he knows the dangers the Grand Line holds and hopes to make sure his friends are prepared for the trip there.
  • Kaiju: The Kaiju-Kaiju Fruit allows him to transform into giant titan monsters that are dead ringers for icons such as Godzilla, King Kong, and Mothra.
  • Natural Disaster Cascade: The Disaster-Disaster Fruit allows Draco to manipulate the elements based on natural disasters such as fire, ice, and even nuclear energy.
  • Person of Mass Destruction: Considering he has three extremely powerful Devil Fruits, Draco is forced to hold back a lot of power, lest he risk destroying everything around him by accident.
  • Signature Laugh: "Babababababababa!"

One of the four Captains of the Straw Hat Pirates. A boy that Draco finds on a neighboring island while stopping for supplies, Ben seeks to travel the whole world and see all the adventures it has in store before he dies. Like Draco, he also survived eating more than one Devil Fruit.

  • Bad with the Bone: The Bone-Bone Fruit allows Ben to create and manipulate bones, even from his own skeletal structure.
  • Beyond the Impossible: Like Draco, Ben was able to survive consuming THREE Devil Fruits. Unlike Draco, who figures the souls of his siblings are holding them, Ben doesn't know how he was able to do it.
  • Bloody Murder: The Blood-Blood Fruit allows Ben to create, manipulate, and transform into blood.
  • Expy: His surname and choice of attire bring to mind the legendary Captain Jack Sparrow himself from Pirates of the Caribbean.
  • Mysterious Past: Out of the four leads, we know the least about Ben's background, aside from the fact he was already adventuring when Draco found him.
  • Our Vampires Are Different: The Bat-Bat Fruit: Model Higher Vampire allows Ben to transform into a high-class vampire ala Alucard.
  • Ship Tease: Becomes quite smitten with Penny when he meets her at Orange Town and is quite flirtatious with her as a result.
  • Signature Laugh: "Trololololo!"

Luffy's younger twin sister and the Quartermaster of the Straw Hat Pirates. Bamia has no grand dreams and simply wishes to be with her brother on his adventure through thick and thin.

  • Creepy Monotone: She speaks in a stoic, emotionless tone even though she can perfectly feel and understand emotions. Her laugh even manages to scare those who hear it due to the emotionless tone it's done in.
  • Emotionless Girl: Downplayed. She doesn't show much emotion and speaks in a stoic, tactful tone of voice, but she understands and feels emotions like normal. This is best shown when she gets annoyed with her brother's stupidity.
  • Expy: She's a dead ringer for Feng Bao Bao from Hitori no sh*ta: The Outcast.
  • Mysterious Mist: Her Devil Fruit, the Mist-Mist Fruit, allows her to create, manipulate, and transform into a teal mist. The mist has various properties, including teleportation, stealth, and even storing objects to pull out later.
  • Raven Hair, Ivory Skin: She has pale ghostly skin and long black hair that is silky and stringy in places.
  • Sibling Yin-Yang: With her brother, Luffy. Bamia is reserved, taciturn, and near-emotionless when she speaks compared to Luffy's loud boisterous attitude.

  • Master Swordswoman: She's a master of the sword, just like Zoro is. However, she prefers using two swords compared to his Three-Sword Style.
  • Playing with Fire: With the power of the Vermillion Bird, Kuina is able to manipulate fire, which she can use to heat up her swords to increase their damage.
  • Spared by the Adaptation: Unlike in canon, she survives her fall with only a broken hand. After she gets better, she joins Zoro on his journey.
  • Vitriolic Best Buds: She and Zoro still bicker like when they were kids, but they both still care for and respect each other.

  • Power Gives You Wings: As part of her Devil Fruit, Penny is able to grow transparent crystal wings resembling those of a fairy to fly.
  • Ridiculously Human Robots: She's an android but is able to think and feel like a normal human. She was even able to eat a Devil Fruit.
  • Ship Tease: She and Ben take a shine to each other when they first meet.
  • Shout-Out: One instance of her powers shows her forming green flames around her eyes, akin to when she used the powers of the Winter Maiden in her home series.

  • Mama Bear: One of the reasons she decides to eat the Devil Fruit given to her is so that she can protect Kirby, who she sees as her child.
  • Panthera Awesome: Her Devil Fruit allows her to transform into the Celestial White Tiger of the West.
  • "The Reason You Suck" Speech: She gives one to Kuro as she lays a beatdown on him, angrily condemning him for his lies toward not just her, but the whole village despite the kindness they showed him.

  • Happily Adopted: He was taken in by Usopp and Kaya and sees them as his parents.
  • Power Copying: He's able to transform into different forms based on what he's eaten, as first shown he gains a sword after swallowing Kuro's Cat Claws.

A mysterious merchant the Straw Hat Pirates first meet at Syrup Village who seems to always have a Devil Fruit or two on hand.

  • All-Powerful Bystander: With connections to getting all sorts of Devil Fruits and plenty of knowledge, it's clear he could have easily taken care of Kuro himself but he abstains, allowing the Straw Hats the honor of bringing him down.
  • Ambiguously Human: Whoever he is, it's clear he's not conventionally human as he manages to appear to the Straw Hats at a convenient time and then disappear just as easily after giving them what they need.
  • Collector of the Strange: He sells various things, one of which just so happens to be Devil Fruits, which he even sells at half the price anybody else would sell them for.

  • Hellhound: His Devil Fruit is a Mythical Zoan that allows him to transform into Garm, the hellhound that guards the gates of Helheim in Norse mythology.
