Back in May we heard that the Bank of Japan spent $62B defending the yen.

It didn't work too well, with the yen right back at 34 years lows and threatening to break them any minute now, perhaps by the time you're watching this.

Speaking of $62B, this week we heard that a Japanese bank called Norinchukin is selling about the same amount in underwater bonds, thanks to higher for longer interest rates, which aren't having much of an effect blunting price inflation anyway.

It just so happens that Japan is the single largest holder of US Treasurys in the world, at a gargantuan sum of $1.15 trillion.

No wonder Japan's is the first foreign banking system to be directly affected by high dollar interest rates.

The Keynesian experiment is unraveling fast now, while silver holds over $30.

Rafi Farber still believes we are in for one last global banking crisis, after which silver will, during a brief period of monetary panic, become money directly once again.

Clare: Al-Moussawi: Election of a new speaker of parliament will accelerate the legislation of the oil and gas law

Member of the Parliamentary Oil Committee, Zainab Al-Moussawi, announced the election of a new Speaker of Parliament who will expedite the legislation of the oil and gas law.

Al-Moussawi told {Al-Furat News} that: “Until now, there are no indications from the Sunni blocs to agree on a candidate for the presidency of the Iraqi parliament, due to the {Sunni-Sunni} differences and the splits that occurred within the Taqadum Party headed by Muhammad al-Halbousi.”

She pointed out that "in the event of a Sunni agreement, the vote will take place immediately after the end of the legislative term holiday, as the Shiite and Sunni political blocs are ready to vote."

Al-Moussawi confirmed, “The vote of members of Parliament on choosing a new candidate for the presidency of the Council will accelerate the approval of the suspended laws, including the oil and gas law, as the law within the committee is largely mature.”

All right, let's see, Bob, what's our time hack for right now? 10:07 Roger that, well, let's get into where we were and where we think we are right now. We… sigh …..

By the way, I've got to put out a fire right away. Someone has brought up the idea of a structured pay out – There are no structured pay outs - That was a concept years ago that came out by the deep state to make you think you were not going to have access to your money or something restricted like that, that's total BS. There's no such thing as a structured pay out - doesn't apply. We're going to have access to all of our funds within 30 to 90 days - there's no structure to that. Just so you know

Now there was somewhat of a structure with some of the tier two and tier threes that were super whales, with access to their funds - but it's not really an issue either for them. Tier three and tier three have not been notified either. The bondholders, the bond sellers, they have not received notifications that they have access to their accounts. Not yet. They're waiting like we are .

Now, for most part, what we've been hearing is that the rates, for example, on these currencies that are going up in value, the rates finally solidified over the last couple of days, at least, we've heard on screens, but not telling us what these rates are right now, we don't have that – we know they were trading. - They had some pretty good numbers, but we know now that they're trading upwards exponentially, if you know what exponential means, that's moving in a very fast direction, and I think exponential might be an exaggeration - but they are definitely moving up – up – up -- until they settle in to where they want those rates to be for us

And we've known what the rates are supposed to get to for months now, and I don't have any problem, I believe that that's what they're going to do and where they're going to be.

In the meantime, what has happened is today, redemption center staff went in for three hours for one and then three more hours for another one. In case the numbers came through today. They did not come in today.

So redemption center, Chief, if you will, was said for them to come back in tomorrow, instead of three hours at a clip, four hours at a clip, and they would overlap by one hour. That's good.

And so what that means is we're looking for the toll free numbers to come out possibly tomorrow. Now there's nothing absolute about that, but I want us to have our faith ready to believe and to receive those toll free numbers if, in fact, they do come out tomorrow. We know that there's a lot going on behind the scenes. Onfe of our bankers - Wells Fargo said, Just hang in there. This was said yesterday, just hang in there a couple more days.

Well, couple more days. It'd be Friday. That's tomorrow, so maybe that's when they manifest. Maybe that's when the rates come in, and that's when the toll free numbers for us come out in our emails.

I think that it's very possible that we get this tomorrow, and through the weekend, we're setting appointments and exchanging

We know that a lot is supposed to be happening this coming week. And I mean politically, I mean, with NESARA - a lot, a lot of things are set to happen. I don't really want to get into the political side of it that much, but believe me, the tide has turned in our favor.

Finally. It has moved to where now things can occur that we thought would happen months ago, months and months ago. They're waiting for the perfect time. The opportunity, opportune moment, to bring this Information out to us which will be most beneficial to the country and to us as a whole –

So I'm excited about what we have, where we're going, where we are now, and I feel like you know when this goes and when We have the numbers and when we're setting the appointments, we will be able to look back at years of waiting and say, it was worth it.

That's what I'm looking forward to - Sue is always telling me to look forward, don't look back. Let's look into the future, the present and future, which is now, and believe what we want, what we need, to believe about our future and put it out there --

During the Eid al-Adha holiday, resorts and tourist areas in the governorates of Erbil, Sulaymaniyah and Halabja received more than 320,000 tourists, while statistics on the number of tourists who went to Dohuk were not yet available.

According to information and statistics from the Directorate of Tourism in Sulaymaniyah province, "more than 120,000 tourists visited the province and its tourist areas, most of whom are citizens of central and southern Iraq."

Compared to the same time last year, the percentage of tourists to Sulaymaniyah increased by about 20,000 tourists.

For its part, the responsible authorities in Erbil province announced that "117,421 tourists went to the province during the Eid holiday," noting that "54 felonies and 51 misdemeanors were recorded."

As for the province of Halabja, the Directorate of Tourism announced that "84 thousand and 176 tourists went to the province, for the purpose of tourism and vacation, and 40 violations and warnings were recorded by the inspection and control committees," noting that "there were no unfortunate incidents during that period, and the Eid plan was successfully applied, in terms of receiving tourists and creating the appropriate atmosphere for them."

The concerned authorities in Dohuk province did not announce statistics after tourists flocking to the governorate and its tourist areas during the Eid al-Adha holiday.

CandyKisses: Parliament calls on government to send important laws that affect people's lives

Baghdad - Iraq Today:

The MP for the State of Law Coalition within Radi called on the government to expedite the sending of the law on the salary scale of employees because of its importance in achieving social justice.

Radi said in a press interview that "there are important laws that the government still has waiting to be sent to the House of Representatives in order to legislate them during the current parliamentary session."

"The House of Representatives called on the government to send bills that serve the government and citizens, including the Federal Court Law, the Oil and Gas Law, the Slums Law and other laws," he said.

Radi expressed his "hope that the government will send important laws as soon as possible in accordance with the government program presented by Prime Minister Mohamed Shia Al-Sudani," stressing that amending the salary scale law has become necessary.

Member: Well, Another weekend here ….maybe this is the one we have been waiting for.

MZ:” In Iraq news: “KBR wins $46 million dollar contract to support sustainable development in Iraq “ This is actually more exciting then you think. This is an American engineering firm that was just awarded this 5 year options to support infrastructure and energy ambitions. This is a long term contract and they are moving forward with these mega projects.

MZ: What do they need to do these mega projects that they want to start immediately? They need a heck of a lot more money than the current rate will support. To me this is a big one.

MZ: It has moved beyond the planning phase and is in the execution stage. For it to be executed it needs dollars…and we certainly think we know where those dollars are coming from.

MZ: Another one that I think is exciting: “First Direct Flights between Erbil and London” This is real international cooperation. Erbil is wealthy in oil.. We have been told to keep eyes on the Erbil region.

MZ: Lots of chatter coming from bonds again after about a week’s lull.. Suddenly there is a flurry on this front. When I get my first confirmed bond payment – I hope to be able to share it. Things seem to be looking for this weekend or possible the first on next week for that bond activity. .

Parliamentary Committee: Amending The Investment Law In The Next Legislative Term

Muhammad Al-Zayadi told {Al-Furat News} agency, "There is no investment in the country due to the lack of clarity in the investment law, which constitutes a major problem, but after the end of the legislative recess, the committee will work on amending the investment law."

He added, "The political situation has nothing to do with the law because it is related to the service aspect, and the goal of amending the law is to be at the level of moral investment in the country."

Between Oil And Debt: Iraq Faces The Challenges Of The Budget Deficit

June 21, 2024 Baghdad/Al-Masala Al-Hadath: The budget deficit for 2024 in Iraq constitutes a major challenge and reflects the gap between government revenues and expenditures, which imposes pressure on the national economy and leads to an increase in public debt.

Iraq relies on oil revenues as a main source of financing the budget. As oil prices fluctuate, it becomes difficult to predict revenues accurately.

Iraq resorts to borrowing to finance the deficit, which increases the size of public debt and negatively affects the cash reserves of central banks.

Economist Nabil Al-Marsoumi revealed the risks of the budget deficit for the year 2024, amounting to more than 64 trillion dinars.

Al-Marsoumi said in a blog post followed by Al-Masala, “The budget deficit amounted to 64.025 trillion dinars, as the revolving balance in the Ministry of Finance’s account reached 1.571 trillion dinars.”

He continued, “The increase in the selling prices of exported crude oil amounts to 16.607 trillion dinars,” noting that “remittances deducted from the legal reserve of government banks are equal to 5 trillion dinars.”

He added that “loans from government banks amounted to 3 trillion dinars,” noting that “the discount on treasury transfers at the Central Bank of Iraq amounted to 20.041 trillion dinars.”

He pointed out, “National bonds are worth 5 trillion dinars, and total internal borrowing reached 33,041 trillion dinars, and external loans amounted to 12,806 trillion.”

He stated, “Many observations were made regarding the budget deficit, including a decrease in the Ministry of Finance’s revolving balance from 23 trillion dinars in the 2023 budget to 1.571 trillion dinars in the 2024 budget.”

Al-Marsoumi added, “It has been observed that there is a heavy reliance on internal and external borrowing to finance the budget deficit, which exacerbates the size of internal debt, especially which currently stands at 79 trillion dinars, in addition to its negative impact on the cash reserves of the Central Bank of Iraq and other Iraqi banks.”

He concluded that “there are three sources in financing the budget deficit, which are deficit financing, internal and external borrowing, and the revolving balance of government accounts,” noting that “using the expected increase in oil revenues amounting to 16.607 trillion dinars to finance the budget deficit is something new because this increase is supposed to be added.”

The expected oil revenues. In this case, the budget will have been built on the assumption of exporting 3.5 million barrels per day at a price of $83 per barrel instead of $70, which is a non-conservative price and full of risks for two reasons.

The first is that Iraq’s oil exports are less than 3.5 million barrels per day due to OPEC+ restrictions. He pointed out, "The second reason is indirect and results from the increase in public spending, especially the salary bill, which, along with retirement, subsidies, and nationals, has reached close to 100 trillion."

World Bank: Spontaneous Gas Combustion Associated With Oil Production Is Rising

Mailman17 Some gurus state that Iraq has to have more than oil to export to be on par with Kuwait. Every export Kuwait has is from oil..oil, gas, alcohol etc..all made from oil. Iraq has all that and then some. Oil, gas, sulphur, dates, gold and a few more. Do not compare Kuwaiti exports with Iraq..Iraq wins hands down and has more of it..food for thought.
