I will confess that we were pleasantly surprised at how well the flavor combination of cranberries and jalapenos worked. Initially met with skepticism when I waved a cracker loaded with this dip, even the Chief Taster couldn't resist returning for more after just two bites!

Are Cranberries Keto-Friendly?
While not the lowest in carbohydrates, cranberries are surprisingly keto-compatible. A 100g serving has 8g net carbs with 4g of fiber so enjoy them in moderation. Cranberries are a good source of vitamin C and are high in antioxidants.
Ingredients
Our Cranberry Jalapeno Dip is crafted with straightforward, low carb ingredients to maintain your dietary goals without compromising on flavor:

- Cranberries - We use fresh cranberries for this recipe. Dried cranberries would not give the same fresh flavor.
- Green onions - could be substituted with finely chopped red onion.
- Lemon Juice - Swap the lemon juice for lime juice for equal tartness.
- Sweetener - You need a sweetener to balance the tartness of the cranberries and we use allulose as the low carb sweetener but you could use any sweetener.
How to Make Cranberry Jalapeno Dip
Cranberries and jalapenos are blended into a relish which can be as smooth or chunky as you like.

Spoon the cranberry relish on top of the cream cheese.
What to serve with cranberry jalapeno dip.
We presented this creamy dip on a plate but you could use a serving bowl or individual ramekins for a personal dip.
Crudities are great to serve with this low carb dip, but firm keto crackers for scooping the dip are better. Try our cranberry walnut bread, almond flour crackers, keto tortilla chips or flaxseed parmesan crackers with this dip. The possibilities are endless!
Storage
Any leftovers (if you have any!) can be stored in the fridge in an airtight container and will last up to 2 to 3 days. The color of the cranberry juice may start to blend with the cream cheese and give it a pinkish color but it still packs a great taste!
Variations
Cranberry jalapeno cream cheese dip is a delicious and versatile appetizer that combines the creaminess of cream cheese with the sweetness of cranberries and the heat of jalapenos. Here are some variations and ideas to customize this dip to suit your preferences:
- Cranberry Jalapeno Bacon Cream Cheese Dip: Add crispy cooked bacon bits to the dip for a savory and smoky twist. The combination of sweet, spicy, and salty flavors is sure to be a hit.
- Cranberry Jalapeno Pecan Cream Cheese Dip: Incorporate chopped pecans for a delightful crunch and nutty flavor. The texture contrast adds an extra layer of complexity to the dip.
- Cranberry Jalapeno Goat Cheese Dip: Swap out cream cheese for goat cheese for a tangier and creamier dip. The tartness of the goat cheese pairs nicely with the cranberries and jalapenos.
- Cranberry Jalapeno Greek Yogurt Dip: Substitute part or all of the cream cheese with Greek yogurt for a healthier, tangy twist. It's a lighter option that still packs a flavor punch.
- Cranberry Jalapeno Cream Cheese Dip with Caramelized Onions: Caramelize onions to add a rich, sweet depth of flavor to the dip. The sweetness of the onions complements the cranberries and jalapenos beautifully.
- Cranberry Jalapeno Cream Cheese Dip with Orange Zest: Add some fresh orange zest to the dip to brighten up the flavors and provide a citrusy kick. The combination of cranberries and oranges is a classic pairing.
- Cranberry Jalapeno Cream Cheese Stuffed Mushrooms: Use the dip as a filling for stuffed mushrooms. Clean and hollow out mushroom caps, fill them with the dip mixture, and bake until golden and bubbly.
- Cranberry Jalapeno Cream Cheese Dip with Cinnamon and Nutmeg: For a holiday-inspired version, add a pinch of ground cinnamon and nutmeg to the dip. These warm spices complement the cranberries and give it a festive twist.
- Cranberry Jalapeno Cream Cheese Dip with Avocado: Mash ripe avocado into the dip for a creamy, buttery element. It also adds a beautiful green color and a mild, cooling contrast to the heat of the jalapenos.
Feel free to mix and match these variations or come up with your own creative additions to make your cranberry jalapeno cream cheese dip uniquely delicious. Enjoy experimenting with different flavors and textures to suit your taste preferences and the occasion.

Recipe Tips
- This easy dip can be made and ahead stored in the refrigerator before serving. You could make the cranberry jalapeno salsa, set it aside, then assemble it with the cream cheese when you are ready to serve.
- Taste test the cranberry mixture before spreading it out on the cream cheese and adjust for your own taste.
- Make sure that the cream cheese is softened at room temperature as it makes it easier to whisk and ensures a smooth dip.
- Instead of serving the cranberry jalapeno salsa on top of the cream cheese, add the cream cheese to the food processor and blend the dip until smooth and pink!
- If you are using frozen cranberries, defrost them thoroughly and remove any excess liquid before use.
