What starting weapon is best in Deepwoken? ›

Best starting weapon? Necroposting AF but for anyone else who comes here, the basic sword is easily the best DPS wise. The greataxe only does 2 more damage than the sword and has far, far less swing speed.

The Battleaxe is considered to be very weak, as its damage is only slightly higher than the regular starter sword. It is prone to being given Providence's Thorns with Enchant Stones, though, as it has good base damage for Providence's Thorns and has no requirement.

Two hand makes it to where you do more damage, but your posture bar fills up faster. One hand does slightly less damage, but does less posture bar damage.

Vesperian - This Race initially has natural armor, which reduces damage taken by 5%. It also grants +2 Willpower and +3 Fortitude. Felinor - Thanks to the Nightchild talent, you significantly increase your agility and Stealth. It grants +2 Charisma and +3 Agility.

Enforcer's Axe is considered one of the best Greataxes in Deepwoken. This is evermore prevalent with the nerfing of the Evanspear Hand Axe via the Bleed bugfix, dethroning it and placing the Enforcer's Axe at the top spot for fighting monsters.
